AFA and NAC Asthma Research Award
The Asthma Foundations Australia (AFA) and National Asthma Council Australia (NAC) Asthma Research Award was created to encourage research into asthma.
Funded by the NAC to the value of $500, the award was offered for the first time in 2006.
The AFA and NAC Asthma Research Award is awarded to the best abstract or poster presented at the biennial National Asthma Conference.
Independent representatives from AFA judge the award, which is presented during the conference.

2008
The 2008 National Asthma Conference will be held in Sydney in October, hosted by the Asthma Foundation of NSW.

2006
The 2006 National Asthma Conference was held in Adelaide, hosted by the Asthma Foundation of SA.
The winner of the 2006 AFA and NAC Asthma Research Award was Ms Kelly Andrews from the University of Wollongong, NSW.
Her winning presentation was: Asthma awareness and education in the 65+ age group.
