Relievers

Reliever medicine treats the immediate symptoms of asthma.

They can help to prevent exercise-induced asthma when used before exercise. They have no anti-inflammatory properties and should be taken on an as-needed or on-demand basis, rather than regularly.

A reliever relaxes the airway muscles and makes it easier to breathe when you have asthma symptoms.

If you find you are using your reliever more often than 3-4 times a week, you should see your doctor.
