Health professionals
The National Asthma Council Australia (NAC) is the leading national authority for asthma knowledge, setting the standard for asthma care.
We have a long-standing role in providing education and evidence-based resources based on the national guidelines for health professionals - the NAC's Australian Asthma Handbook.
We work with a national network of leading health professionals dedicated to asthma, including respiratory physicians, allergists, general practitioners, pharmacists, primary health care nurses, asthma educators, respiratory scientists and Aboriginal health workers.
Our wide range of health professional resources include:
- Essential asthma medication and first aid charts
- Asthma and Respiratory Workshop Education Program
- Asthma action plan library
- How-to video library on medication and device use
- Information papers
- Fact sheets for patients and carers.
In addition to providing advocacy and advice, our experts help develop our resources for health professionals and people with asthma, and present our peer-led workshop programs for health professionals.
These evidence-based, best practice resources are free to download on our website and a range of resources is also available to order free of charge.
