New National Asthma Council Board members appointed

8 Sept 2026

We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new National Asthma Council Australia (NAC) Board members – Mr Tarek Dale and Clinical A/Prof Gregory Katsoulotos.

Mr Tarek Dale is a nominee director appointed by the Australian Primary Care Nurses Association (APNA), a member body of the NAC. Tarek is an accomplished policy and public affairs leader with extensive experience in developing strategic platforms, managing complex stakeholder engagement, and contributing to legislative change.

Mr Tarek Dale

Clinical A/Prof Gregory Katsoulotos is appointed as an independent director of the NAC. Gregory is a respiratory and sleep physician with a special interest in asthma of all severities. Gregory has wide experience in the severe asthma space with the use of biological agents and also runs a multi-disciplinary airways clinic bringing together various medical and allied healthcare workers to better manage difficult-to-treat asthma.

A/Prof Gregory Katsoulotos

We express our immense gratitude to Prof Peter Wark who recently stepped down from the NAC Board, following a long and dedicated service in various board and committee appointments, from 2008 to 2026.

We are able to lead the improvement of asthma care in Australia thanks to the generosity of our board, committees, advisory groups, member organisations, and other valued supporters, whose contributions add immense value to our team’s work.
